CHC Faculty Application
| Membership is open to UCSF faculty who have a major professional commitment to research, patient care, education, and outreach and who can contribute to the overall goals of the Center for Health and Community. Specific criteria are: |

| 1. |
 |
Paid faculty appointment, emeritus status, visiting professor status, or appointment in a research position at UCSF. |
 |
| 2. |
 |
Evidence of teaching or peer reviewed research support or publications in the areas of epidemiology, health policy, economics, anthropology, psychology, sociology, history, ethics, and public health, or a clinical discipline with a focus on social, behavioral or policy issues. |
 |
| 3. |
 |
Demonstrated interest and experience in the goals of the Center for Health and Community by: |
 |

|
|
Conducting research and/or developing policy on population health, health delivery systems, or outcomes evaluation; |
 |
|
|
|
Conducting research and/or developing policy on child and adolescent health; women's health; aging and chronic disease; social and economic factors in health; |
 |
|
|
|
Developing community partnerships and increasing community-based and community-focused research; |
 |
|
|
|
Conducting research in basic underlying processes on health, including determinants of health status and behavior change, social and cultural determinants of health and behavior stress and disease, emotion and communication; and |
 |
|
|
|
Educating health professionals, researchers, and community partners on psychological, behavioral, social, and cultural determinants of health. |
